The Green Hornet & The Lost Future, Review

Britt Reid (Seth Rogen), son and heir to Los Angeles' largest newspaper fortune, is a rich, spoiled playboy who has been happy to maintain a direction-less existence. When his father James Reid (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, Britt meets an impressive and resourceful company employee, Kato (Jay Chou). They realize that they have the resources to do something worthwhile with their lives and finally step out of James Reid's shadow. Kato builds the ultimate weapon, The Black Beauty, an indestructible car with every weapon and gadget imaginable and Britt decides that in order to be heroes, they will pose as villains. With the help of Britt's new secretary, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), they learn that the chief criminal in the city is named Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz). He has united all the gangs under his power, and he quickly sees that the Green Hornet is a direct threat to the prosperous criminal underworld he controls. Directed by Michel Gondry.

REVIEW:
Green Hornet is supposed to be a comic or something? If yes, i have no idea so please keep that in mind. I review it as a movie with no connection.
I will start by saying the movie is pretty much stupid. There is no serious acting in. But it is fun. I laughed a lot! There were some good jokes. Christoph Waltz is awesome. He has wardrobe problems as an evil guy and i "loled" a lot at his scenes. Britt Reid and Jay Chou are also creating a funny duo. The one is doing nothing...and the other kick ass. It's the most weird team ever.
I can't say i recommend the movie except if you are one of those who might watch something not that good and enjoyed for its geeky moments.

A joint effort, made for television film, from SyFy Channel and Germany's RTL. Set in 2510, a group of post-apocalyptic survivors, the leader played by Sean Bean, struggle to survive in a world where jungles and forests and primeval wetlands and deserts have obliterated civilization. They staunchly face genetically mutating beasts and mysterious diseases in an attempt to re-establish the human race as masters of Earth.

REVIEW:
The only reason i watched this one is Sean Bean. I kinda love guy. It's not one of his best jobs but for sure was the best thing in the movie.
For a TV movie was pretty well done. Cool effects and the whole jungle environment. But i wasn't impressed. As a story it's not something we haven't see before in alike movies and the actors looked out of place. Like they couldn't get into their roles. Maybe that was all new and young. I was bored after the first half and i admit i forward it to the end. The action scenes couldn't really wake up my interest.
I guess that means i don't recommend this one as well.

  1. I haven't seen Lost Future so I don't know about that...
I watched Green Hornet and I tottaly loved it as a comedy. On the other aspects it had some cool fighting scenes and I liked the targeting effects it added to the fighting scenes but I didn't like so much the story, it's like amatures trying to cosplay Batman and Robin but this time Batman sucks.
